Located at an elevation of around 3,600 meters, the enchanting Valley of Flowers is essentially a floral carpet with more than 500 myriad alpine flowers and shrubs that grace the region offering a kaleidoscopic landscape of different hues and colors. The revered Kedarnath Dham, on the other hand, is a revered pilgrimage site and one of the Panch Kedar temple circuit in Uttarakhand. The abode of Lord Shiva, Kedarnath is flocked with pilgrims during its peak season to seek blessings from the deity.
Haridwar – Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Pipalkoti – Valley Of Flowers –Rudraprayag –Haridwar : From Rishikesh/Haridwar to Valley of Flowers via Kedarnath, the tourists will be provided cab/taxis for transportation. From Sonprayag, the trek to Kedarnath commences. From Govindghat, the trek towards Valley of Flowers starts passing through couple of villages and hamlets.
Leave Haridwar or Rishikesh early in the morning towards Guptkashi. The long journey will take the trekkers along the Alaknanda River on the Badrinath highway as we pass some of the revered cities such as Devprayag, Srinagar and Rudraprayag. Spend the night at GMVN or local guesthouses at Guptkashi.
Leave Guptkashi early on a well-defined trail towards Gaurikund, a last village before the trek to Kedarnath. The 14-km trek to Kedarnath via Rambara will take around 6-7 hours to complete. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and lofty mountain peaks along the route. Pay our obeisance to Lord Kedar. Halt for the night at Kedarnath.
Leave Kedarnath early in the morning in order to reach Gaurikund as early as possible. Leave Gaurikund for Pipalkoti which is located 150 kms away. Reach Pipalkoti by evening. Check into your hotel and spend the night.
Leave Pipalkoti for Govindghat via Joshimath which is situated just an hour away from Pipalkoti. Leave Govindghat early on a well-defined trail towards Ghangaria, a hushed village located at a height of 3,000 metres. The 13-km trek to Ghangaria via Pulna and Bhyundar will take around 7 hours to complete. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and lofty mountain peaks along the route. Halt for the night at Ghangaria.
Leave Ghangria early in the morning in order to have all day to yourself to enjoy the beauty of Valley of Flowers. The trek is relatively easy to tread and enjoy the journey towards the floral paradise. Due to Valley of Flowers’ highly heterogeneous landscape, it gives rise to rich variety of flowers that makes up for a spectacular landscape.Enjoy your time at the valley and soak yourself in the beautiful landscape. Return back to Ghangaria for the night stay
Bid adieu to the majestic Ghangria village and descend towards Govindghat. It you start early at 6 AM, you will reach Govindghat by 11 AM. From Govindghat, aim for reaching Joshimath to spend the night or spend the night at Govindghat itself.
Leave Govindghat early in the morning to reach Haridwar/Rishikesh by evening. Leave for Delhi the same evening or rest at Haridwar for the night.
