Trek Route
Delhi – Haridwar – Joshimath – Govindghat – Ghangaria – Valley of Flowers – Ghangaria – Govindghat – Rudraprayag – Rishikesh – Haridwar – Delhi: From Delhi to Govindghat via Haridwar, the tourists will be provided cab/taxis for transportation. From Govindghat, the trek towards Valley of Flowers starts passing through couple of villages and hamlets amidst the natural beauty. From Govindghat, the trek ascends towards Pulna village which is situated just 3 kms away. From Pulna, Bhyundar village is located 2 kms away at a height of 2,400 meters. Ghangaria is the next halting point which is located 3 kms from Valley of Flowers
Valley of Flowers Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi – Haridwar/Rishikesh
Leave Delhi for Haridwar early in the morning to beat the highway traffic which is located 5 hours away. Reach Haridwar in the afternoon and check into the hotel. Observe the Ganga Aarti in the evening on the banks of river Ganges. Explore the bustling city of Haridwar. Return back to your hotel for night stay.
Day 2: Haridwar/Rishikesh – Joshimath – Govindghat (291km/11 hrs)
Leave Haridwar or Rishikesh early in the morning towards Govindghat. The long journey will take the trekkers along the Alaknanda River on the Badrinath highway as we pass some of the revered cities such as Devprayag, Srinagar and Karnaprayag. The journey from Haridwar/Rishikesh will take around 10 hours. Spend the night at GMVN or local guesthouses at Joshimath. Take a shared cab (taxi) from Joshimath to Govindghat which will take around 45 minutes.
Day3: Govindghat – Ghangaria (13 km/7 hours)
Leave Govindghat early on a well-defined trail towards Ghangaria, a hushed village located at a height of 3,000 metres. The 13-km trek to Ghangaria via Pulna and Bhyundar will take around 7 hours to complete. Enjoy the beautiful landscape and lofty mountain peaks along the route. Halt for the night at Ghangaria.
Day 4: Ghangaria – Valley of Flowers – Ghangaria (10 km/6 hours)
Leave Ghangria early in the morning in order to have all day to yourself to enjoy the beauty of Valley of Flowers. The trek is relatively easy to tread and enjoy the journey towards the floral paradise. Due to Valley of Flowers’ highly heterogeneous landscape, it gives rise to rich variety of flowers that makes up for a spectacular landscape. Enjoy your time at the valley and soak in the beautiful landscape. Return back to Ghangaria for the night stay.
Day 5: Ghangaria – Govindghat (13 kms/5 hours)
Bid adieu to the majestic Ghangria village and descend towards Govindghat. It you start early at 6 AM, you will reach Govindghat by 11 AM. From Govindghat, aim for reaching Joshimath to spend the night or spend the night at Govindghat itself.
Day 6: Govindghat – Haridwar/Rishikesh (291 km/11 hours)
Leave Govindghat early in the morning to reach Haridwar/Rishikesh by evening. Leave for Delhi the same evening or rest at Haridwar for the night.
Day 7: Haridwar/Rishikesh – Delhi
Bid adieu to the holy town of Haridwar for Delhi in the morning. Reach Delhi in the afternoon.

Exclusions
- Transportation charges to and from the base camp. Apart from that, transportation charge from Haridwar to Govind Ghat and return is additional, and is to be paid directly to the driver.
- Backpack offloading charges – Rs. 500* plus service tax of 9%. Charges for last minute offloading during the trek will be Rs. 335 per day plus service tax of 9%. Please note that backpacks cannot weigh more than 9 kg. No suitcases/strolleys/duffel bags will be allowed.
- Last day stay at Haridwar
